An American tourist collapsed and died as she toured a site in Isinya area, Kajiado County.
Police said Frances Boniface Fountain, 83, was visiting and touring the Kitengela Glass Company when the incident happened on Tuesday.
She had arrived in Kenya together with other family members two weeks ago as tourists. She had among others visited the Masai Mara game reserve where on November 6 she complained of breathing difficulties.
On Tuesday she collapsed at the site and died. Medical officers from Sinai Hospital Ongata Rongai responded with an ambulance but found her unresponsive and declared her dead.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
And police seized a Glock pistol with 15 bullets from an American national who was flying from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to South Carolina. The individual had a diplomatic passport at the time he was found with the weapon stashed in a suitcase. He said he had been given the suitcase by a friend to deliver to the USA.
The individual works in Somalia. The weapon was detained for further analysis while the individual was allowed to travel. He had arrived in Nairobi from Mogadishu.
Elsewhere in Ayany, Nairobi County, the body of one Stephene Omukuba, 41 was found in his house after sudden death.
A neighbour had gone to check on him when he found his body lying next to his bed, police said.
Police were alerted and picked up the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures. The cause of the death of the man which happened on November 11, 2025 is yet to be known, police said.
