    Anabelle Acosta is a Cuban-American actress renowned for her compelling performances in both television and film.

    Born on February 28, 1987, in Havana, Cuba, she was raised in New York City by Cuban-American parents after moving to the United States as a child.

    Acosta pursued formal training at the prestigious Juilliard School, where she honed her skills in Meisner and Method acting techniques, along with dance and stage performance.

    She began her professional journey in New York, initially appearing in national commercials and print advertisements before transitioning into acting.

    Acosta’s career in entertainment began in 2008 with minor roles in films and television, marking the start of her steady rise in the industry.

    Her early work included a small part in the feature film “The Next Hit,” followed by guest appearances on shows such as “Breaking In,” “GCB,” “Castle,” “Supernatural,” and “Second Generation Wayans.”

    A significant breakthrough came in 2010 when, after an extensive casting process, she landed the lead role of Kelly in the independent comedy “We Made This Movie,” directed by Rob Burnett and Jon Beckerman.

    This opportunity showcased her comedic timing and opened doors to more prominent projects.

    In 2012, she appeared in the action film “Freelancers” alongside Robert De Niro, and later in the crime drama “By the Gun” in 2014.

    Acosta’s television presence grew substantially in 2015 with her recurring role as Annabella Ruiz, the girlfriend of football player Ricky Jerret, in HBO’s sports comedy-drama “Ballers,” where she appeared in eight episodes across the first two seasons.

    That same year, she secured a main role as FBI recruit Natalie Vasquez in ABC’s thriller series “Quantico,” portraying a competitive and intense character opposite Priyanka Chopra, which ran through 2016.

    Following these successes, she recurred as Camila Vega in NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” and appeared in CBS’s “MacGyver” in 2020.

    On the big screen, Acosta starred in the comedy “Fat Camp” in 2017 and opposite Nicolas Cage in the action thriller “Kill Chain” on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.

    Throughout her career, Acosta has earned praise for her dynamic performances and versatility across genres, establishing herself as a rising Latina star in Hollywood.

    Critics have highlighted her strong on-screen presence, particularly in high-stakes roles like those in “Quantico” and “Ballers,” where her intensity and chemistry with co-stars were noted as standout elements.
