The August election results were nullified and are therefore irrelevant, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party has said.
NASA is currently releasing the August 8 results at the Intercontinental Hotel. The results, they say are unadulterated and authentic.
The results show that Raila Odinga beat President Uhuru Kenyatta by less than a million votes.
The opposition will use the results to swear in Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the People’s President and deputy respectively on January 30 at the Uhuru Park.
But Jubilee party has maintained that the election was declared null and void and the results, irrelevant.
”They went to court to have the election nullified, they celebrated with song and dance when the election was nullified, now in a strange turn, they want to swear themselves in based on the results of that same election,” the party said on social media.
