The Premier League has postponed Everton’s match at Burnley on Sunday because of coronavirus and injuries. Everton were originally rebuffed by the league in their application to have the game called off. But a Premier League statement on Friday said it had reviewed the club’s request “following further injuries to the squad”. The thickness of the soles of track spikes will be capped at 20mm from 2024, World Athletics has confirmed. The sport’s governing body says manufacturers have “sufficient time” to make adjustments to products before the rule begins on 1 November 2024.
