Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has said she will deliver over 960,000 votes to Raila Odinga for a first round win in the upcoming presidential elections. Ngilu said that President Uhuru Kenyatta garnered more than 15% more votes than he had garnered from the region in 2013 and that she would ensure that this does not happen again. IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and CEO Ezra Chiloba are back in court after three petitioners went to court under a certificate of urgency asking the court not to allow the two to conduct the new presidential elections that is to be held within 60 days. Supreme court on Friday, 1 September invalidated the election of  President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to the Chief Justice, David Maraga, Kenyatta was not lawfully elected and IEBC should conduct New Elections Within 60 Days. He directed the first respondent, IEBC to conduct the elections in conformity with the law within sixty days.
