Audio-based social media platform, Clubhouse, has launched a new way for contacts to send invites for audio chats called “Wave” The company announced the news after a leak suggested the sme last week. The feature will be rolled out for all iOS and Android users. Wave allows users to invite their contacts to a live audio by tapping a waving hand emoji. The European Commission is proposing the implementation of a law that will see users adapt to a common charging port for mobile phones, tablets and headphones. The European Union hopes to save at least 250 million euros from the move that has been in the making for about 10 years now, as well as contribute positively towards the environment. On Wednesday, renowned disk jockey (DJ) Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve lost his mother Mary Hongo, who collapsed and passed on in her shop in Kasarani. Ms Hongo is said to have passed on on Wednesday evening while receiving treatment at a health facility. The family of the late businessman Chris Kirubu is still eying the 126.8 million shares in Centum Investment Company Plc currently valued at Ksh2.1 billion. Twitter has announced that it is working on a solution to keep tweets from disappearing while users are reading them. It is a common occurrence for the timeline to refresh suddenly while you are looking at a tweet.  This happens when a user is looking at it concurrently with other users. YouTube is officially testing a new way to allow users download videos on the desktop web browser. The test is currently with a small number of users. To view  YouTube video, users are required to stream on the website or on the app for mobile phone users. However, mobile phone users have been able to download specific videos for a while now. Safaricom is set to commercialise the superfast 5G network in 2022 after increasing 5G sites to 200 by the end of 2021. Google Meet will make it easier for users to see their contacts more clearly on video calls. The web app will be able to detect when a user’s exposure is affected by bad lighting. The app will then increase brightness for better clarity of the newsfeed and contacts, despite the quality of the webcam.
