An American pastor who was kidnapped by armed men during a church service in South Africa last week has been rescued following a “high-intensity shoot-out” that left three people dead, police say. A man was apprehended for pulling off a daring scam at the Jumeirah Palm Resort in Mombasa. Police said  Samwel Malish booked a three-bedroom short term rental for two weeks but vanished into thin air without paying a dime.
