Eight police officers were Tuesday interdicted over the escape of 12 suspects including a serial murder suspect Collins Jumaisi. This is after preliminary investigations showed the escape was an inside job. Acting Inspector General of police Gilbert Masengeli among those interdicted include the Gigiri Sub County Police Commander, OCS Gigiri Police Station, Duty Officer, Duty NCO, Station Guards and Report Office Personnel. At least 12 people were killed Tuesday morning in a bus accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway involving a bus. Seven bodies had earlier been retrieved from the scene before police and other rescuers found five more trapped in the bus wreckage. KQ posted Sh513 million in net profit helped by reduced exposures from foreign currency fluctuations and the restructuring of its loans by the state. The supreme Court will Tuesday August 20 deliver a ruling on whether it will suspend a decision that declared the Finance Act 2023 unconstitutional pending an appeal filed by Cabinet Secretary for Treasury. The Apex court in a notice indicated that the ruling will be delivered through email at 10am.
