A group of revelers were Monday April 7 injured when an explosion blew up a food joint in Mandera town. Police said the explosion blew up the joint as those who were inside escaped with slight injuries. Police and witnesses said the powerful explosion rocked Delicacy Food Hotel in Mandera, near the residence of a former senior local official. It caused significant damage to the establishment. Police are investigating an incident where a two year old boy drowned in a pit full of water as he played at a neighbour’s compound in Cherengany, Trans Nzoia County. The boy was playing with his friends at the neighbour’s compound when he slipped into an open pit that had water. He was removed and rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A US judge has issued a scathing opinion against the Trump administration after immigration officials admitted to having mistakenly deported a man living in the US to a prison in El Salvador. A court has issued a warrant to arrest the ailing chairman of London Distillers Mohan Galot in a forgery case. Galot is said to be away in London for medical reasons, his son Avin said. The prosecution said he had failed to attend court as directed in the case and successfully applied for the warrant to arrest him on April 1, 2025.
