A profile is emerging of the 26-year-old man being held in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of United Healthcare’s chief executive in New York City. Police announced on Monday they had arrested Luigi Mangione on firearms charges after he was recognised at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The Baltimore, Maryland, native had a three-page handwritten document that mentioned grievances with the US healthcare system and indicated “motivation and mindset”, officials said. A major operation was mounted after a driver attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) was Monday morning shot and killed by suspected al Shabaab terrorists in an attack in Lafey, Mandera County.  The unknown number of gunmen later grabbed his four-wheel drive car and escaped with it. Police said this was after they had dropped the body of the deceased from the car. A passenger who was in the car was taken away by the gunmen, police said. The Kenya police-led Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) and those of the Haitian National Police denied claims they have a strained working relationship. Police are investigating an incident in which a man died after jumping off the 10th floor of Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi. This is the second such incident to happen at KICC in a month amid concerns about how the victims accessed the balconies of the iconic building. All floors have doors to the balconies and access is limited. The victims were all visitors there with the mission for suicide, police said. A woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted by Sean “Diddy” Combs has amended her lawsuit to include allegations that she was also assaulted by Jay-Z at the same party. The lawsuit was initially filed against Combs in October, but on Sunday the woman added Shawn Carter, the rapper and businessman known as Jay-Z, as a defendant in the civil lawsuit.
