Mystery surrounds an incident in which a woman selling beverages at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was hijacked while headed to work. Shankara Adan Hassan, 39, has been missing since October 12. She was in a taxi from Eastleigh Section 3 headed for JKIA when the car was flagged down by people purporting to be police officers. Four suspects linked with the rampant disappearance of mobile phones within the City were Friday arrested by detectives in an operation. This follows an increase in cases of mobile snatching and stealing. Whenever the gadgets are stolen or robbed, they are taken to a shop in downtown for repairs and sent to neighboring countries and sold to unsuspecting buyers. The Azimio la Umoja coalition went to court to seek justice for 75 people allegedly killed by police during protests over the rising cost of living between March and July. The Ministry of Education has released the 2024 schools academic calendar for pre-primary, primary, secondary schools and teachers training colleges.
