A suspected thug was shot dead in a botched robbery and a pistol found on him in Githurai 44 area. Police said two other suspects managed to escape in the Tuesday night shooting. The gang had been attacking and robbing pedestrians when police were alerted. Police said they chased the group for a short distance before felling one of them. Police are investigating the murder of a Ugandan national whose body with stab wounds was found in his house in Mlango Kubwa area, Nairobi. His wife was found lying unconscious next to the body, police said. The body of Joel Makuhi, 22, was found in the apartment on the fifth floor long after he had died. His wife told police they had bought chicken from Burma Market and prepared it for supper on Sunday. She said she fell unconscious and could not recall what happened after eating the chicken. Over a kilo of methamphetamine drug concealed inside bicycle saddles was Tuesday impounded at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after a consignment bound for Jakarta, Indonesia was flagged. The drug estimated at over Sh9 million was stashed among other items declared as bicycle accessories in a consignment being shipped from Moroni, Comoros. At least 21 people including two children died after a bus crashed off a flyover near the Italian city of Venice and caught fire, officials say. A bomb went off and killed at least two Al Shabaab logisticians Tuesday as they emplaced it on the road in Amuma area, Garissa county. Police said Mark Tuizenge succumbed to injuries in hospital after he had been attacked by two men who had posed as pillion passengers and wanted to be taken to Milimani area.
