Jubilee party deputy secretary-general Joshua Kutuny now claims Deputy President William Ruto’s ‘Tanga Tanga’ camp has run out of resources ahead of the August 9 General Election. A matatu driver and his conductor who assaulted a traffic police officer in Mikindani, Mombasa county have been arrested. The incident is said to have happened today morning where the officer who was controlling traffic was attacked by the driver and his conductor. According to the DCI, the duo, Emmanuel Lwamba and Nicholas Ngwava Peter descended on the officer with kicks and blows leaving him with a bruised nose and chest injuries. A doctor has sued the Aga Khan Hospital for allegedly sacking her after she protested against sexual harassment at the workplace by a senior colleague. Through lawyer Ong’aya Ombo, the doctor who is seeking Sh41 million in compensation, claimed that the hospital management mistreated her by firing her on September 8, when she first reported the matter. The magistrate who acquitted former Sports CS Rashid Echesa in the Sh39 billion fake arms scandal has been suspended. Senior Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot delivered the ruling on Friday at 7.30 pm past operating hours. Courts operate between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday. Deputy President William Ruto could face fresh charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) after the prosecution claimed to have evidence implicating him in witness influencing scheme in the failed case against him. The prosecution was recently allowed to transfer part of the evidence extracted from the vacated case against Ruto and use it against lawyer Paul Gicheru who is accused of influencing witnesses of the court between April 2013 and September 10, 2015.
