Nairobi’s Milimani senior principal magistrate Robison Ondieki ruled that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against Deya. The court said the burden of proof against the accused was wanting as none of the evidence placed the accused where the subjects were recovered. There was panic at the iconic GTC Tower in Nairobi’s Westlands area when police discovered an abandoned object on the roadside. The structure is currently the tallest and newest one in the city and lies on Chiromo Lane. It is still taking in new tenants. Three firearms that were stolen from authorities have been recovered in separate incidents, police have said. Two of the firearms were recovered by women while the other was by a male shopkeeper, all during botched robberies.
