Detectives arrested three key suspects believed to be behind a recent surge in armed robberies targeting wines and spirits outlets across Kajiado, Nairobi and Kiambu counties. The gang, reportedly armed with crude weapons, has been terrorising traders in the three counties, stealing cash and large quantities of alcoholic stock while leaving behind extensive destruction. In some cases, the attacks have reportedly resulted in injuries and significant financial losses. Anna Murdoch-Mann, writer and ex-wife of media baron Rupert Murdoch, has died aged 81, his media outlets have announced. Married to the mogul for 31 years, she was described by the New York Post as an “active partner” in building News Corp. Lion DNA has been used to successfully prosecute poachers for the first time in the world, it has emerged. Wildlife crime experts have only just revealed how they were able to identify the individual animal from body parts found in a suspect’s village, as they matched a profile on Zimbabwe’s lion database. Kenya successfully priced a new dual-tranche Eurobond totaling USD 2.25 billion, in a transaction that drew strong investor demand and underscored renewed confidence in the country’s economic outlook. The issuance comprises USD 900 million 7.875 per cent notes due in 2034 and USD 1.35 billion 8.700 per cent notes due in 2039. A 30-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a commotion in a club in Kendu Bay, Homa Bay County. Police said Amos Jalango was in the company of his friends at the Signature Club on February 15 when he was attacked and stabbed in the head.
