The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released a list of eight wanted terror suspects linked to Al-Shabaab. In a notice on Wednesday, the George Kinoti-led directorate asked members of the public to share information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects. The High Court in Vihiga has given the Sarrai Group a green light to continue with operations at Mumias Sugar Company after hitches following a recent takeover. A Nakuru court has freed Meru Senator Mithika Linturi on Ksh2 million cash bail or an alternative bond of Ksh5 million with a surety of a similar amount. Residents of the Mombasa County government can now breathe easy after healthcare workers suspended a planned strike. The strike that was expected to kick off on Tuesday midnight was called off on Monday evening. Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union Mombasa branch secretary Nassir Shaban told members of the press that the workers had received their two months’ pending salaries in full. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced traffic disruptions on Lang’ata Road starting Monday night. 741 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 5,329 tested in the last 24 hours. The new cases represent a positivity rate of 13.9 per cent, a drop from 19.2 per cent recorded on Saturday. A 25-year-old man trapped in a collapsed goldmine in Rongo, Migori County, has been rescued alive. Noah Ogweno was trapped after the mine collapsed at Kopuodho village in North Kamagambo three days ago. Rongo Member of Parliament Paul Abuor confirmed on Sunday that Ongweno was rescued after a 72-hour operation.
