The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has warned the general public against falling prey to recruitment scams through fraudsters masquerading as KDF personnel. This is after 57 people were found with fake recruitment letters in the recently concluded document verification process. Six people were on Monday morning killed following a suspected Al-Shabaab attack at Widhu Majembeni area in Lamu County. The suspected militants, police said, also set ablaze several houses in the early morning incident. The body of the former cabinet minister was cremated on Sunday morning at the Kariokor Crematorium in Nairobi County in line with his wishes. Kenya Railways has announced the resumption of the Nairobi Commuter Rail (NCR) bus services within Nairobi and its environs. In a statement on December 31, the corporation said the services will resume on Monday, January 3, 2022. The High Court has declined to lift orders stopping renovations at Uhuru Park in Nairobi County. The High Court has given the Assets and Recovery Authority (ARA) a green light to freeze another Ksh49 million a Belgian man had sent to a sister of his lover as a money-laundering probe against the suspects intensifies.
