Thirdway Alliance party has expelled its National Chairman Daniel Miruru Waweru and Deputy Party Leader Angela Mwikali over alleged gross misconduct and indiscipline. Traders in the popular Nairobi market, Gikomba, are counting huge losses after a fire razed down their stores. The fire which broke out at around 12am on Friday affected traders with stores along Molo Line area also known as Ghorofani. Kahawa Tungu understands that women clothing stores in the area were gutted down and nothing was salvaged. Veteran broadcaster Gladys Erude is dead. The journalist died on Thursday morning after a long battle with cancer, her brother Laban Kirigano confirmed. She is remembered for her role in the media industry in the 80s and 90s while working at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s Idhaa ya Taifa now known as Radio Taifa.
