Police have arrested three people captured in a viral video assaulting a woman and her son at Ringa Kojwach Village in Oyugis, Homa Bay County. Lawyer Miguna Miguna has dismissed calls from the government to reapply for his Kenyan citizenship insisting he has never lost it. Police in Migori are holding 12 people over an attempt to disrupt the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations that kicked off on Monday, April 18. Police in Kisumu have launched investigations after the brutal murder of a manager to renowned Ohangla musician  Emma Jalamo. The manager popularly known as CMM Clemo was stabbed by unknown people at a nightclub in Kondele in the wee hours of Monday morning. He died on the spot. Police in Nairobi are holding two minors arrested over the weekend while attempting to smuggle bhang into Industrial Area Remand Prison. The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has resolved to repeat primaries in four constituents days after the exercise was completed. In a statement on Saturday, UDA National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Mwaura, said the repeat primaries will also be conducted in a number of wards on April 19. Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has conceded defeat after alleging rigging in the recent UDA party primaries for the Ruiru parliamentary seat. The National Police Service (NPS) has joined other state agencies to express concerns over the fuel shortage facing the country. Hours after the Energy and Petroleum Ministry Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma urged petrol stations to operate on a 24-hour basis, Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai on Thursday directed the police to provide adequate security to suppliers and the operators. Kenyans who rely on petroleum products for their day to day activities will from midnight dig deeper into their pockets after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced a further increase in fuel prices in the April review. In the changes announced on Thursday, the maximum retail prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene increase by Ksh9.90 per litre. Following the increment, a litre of petrol in Nairobi will from Friday, April 15, retail at Ksh144.62, diesel Ksh125.50 and that of kerosene at Ksh113.44 per litre.
