The appointment was announced on Wednesday, April 6, by the Raila Odinga Presidential Campaign Secretariat. The family of a 34-year-old man who died after falling into a boiler at a Thika-based factory has threatened to move to court over a compensation row. Caleb Otieno burnt to death after he fell into an iron smelting machine at Blue Nile Rolling Mills Limited in Kiambu County last month. Paddy Ahenda, the Kenyan ambassador to Qatar, has passed on. The former Kasipul Kabondo MP died on Monday morning in a Doha Hospital. His family said he was battling a heat stroke. According to the envoy’s wife, Millie Ahenda, the deceased had been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a week. Police have arrested a Boda Boda rider in connection with the abduction and sexual assault of a female client in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County, on Saturday. The Supreme Court has upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal that invalidated the Constitutional (Amendment) Bill 2020. The Supreme Court, in a majority judgment on Thursday, affirmed that the process to amend the constitution through the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was illegal.
