    Free At Last, State Withdraws Charges Against Bobi Wine

    The State of Uganda has withdrawn charges against MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known by his artist name Bobi Wine.

    He had been charged with treason and being in possession of fire arms during a rally that turned chaotic in Arua.

    His driver was shot dead in the process. The whole world took to Twitter to call for his freedom.

    Activists from all over Africa said that his detention was a gross violation of Human Rights. His wife Barbie Kyangulanyi had said that he had been badly injured while in custody and was denied medical attention

    The Court Martial Release;

    He was taken to military court yet he was a civilian. Leaders of the opposition including Kizabesigye were prevented from leaving their homes to attend his trial. He has since been arrested for attempting to leave.

    Bobi Wine has been in custody for the past one week.
