A man, 30, was positively identified by three girls who he allegedly raped together with three others on Wednesday morning in Leiten, Kericho County.
The thugs broke into their Leiten home, hacked a 73 year old woman to death and injured her husband, 78.
According to DCI George Kinoti, the gang also made away with unknown amounts of money before raping the couple’s granddaughters aged 11, 13 and 20.
Also injured during the ordeal was the house maid who was allegedly hit with a blunt object.

Kahawa Tungu has however learnt that one of the men was identified by one of the victims when she allegedly saw him at her grandparents home pitching a tent.
She is said to have started sobbing uncontrollably attracting the attention of those in the homestead.
The angry mob beat the man into a pulp forcing him to name his accomplices.
Leiten residents have been complaining of high rates of insecurity in the area. They have accused the police of not taking action.
