    Governor Waititu Calls Sonko Pleading For His Wife’s Release (Video)

    Governor Waititu has allegedly called Nairobi governor Mike Sonko begging him to release his wife who was arrested for illegal construction of buildings.

    In the alleged phone call which was posted on twitter the Kiambu governor is heard telling Sonko to release his wife and 14 others who had been arrested.

    The governor agreed to the call by his fellow governor but asked Waititu to call the president as the order had come from above. He said that he was supporting the president’ fight against corruption.

    The Nairobi governor said that he will release his wife but if a bail of Sh. 10000 was posted. For the others the governor asked thet the governor directly calls the governor.

    She has since been freed on Sh.80000 bail.
