Members of the Homa Bay county assembly have impeached the speaker, Elizabeth Ayoo.
The ward representatives have accused the speaker of mistreatment, frequent adjournments among other reasons.
The Thursday morning motion was supported by 38 members.
On October 16, Ms Ayoo was physically attacked by Kakelo Kokwanyo MCA, Dan Were with a chair. This happened after he accused her of altering the list of new office holders.

Elizabeth Ayoo was rushed to Kisumu hospital for treatment.
