Former Member of Parliament for Gem, Jakoyo Midiwo has disagreed with his former party leader’s directive to boycott work.
Midiwo who left the ODM party after losing in the party nominations has asked the Luo nation to go back to work and ‘invest in their motherland.’
On his lengthy Facebook post, Midiwo noted that it was only the Luo people demonstrating, getting killed and a few of their leaders appearing for pressers along side Jakom.
According to him, the ‘boycott work’ directive given by Raila Odinga will only hurt the Luo people as they might lose their jobs.
He also said that other leaders have ‘slowly peeled off.’ Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto, NASA co-principals, have not been in the limelight ever since Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner of the Presidential election.
Jakoyo who is also Odinga’s cousin has urged his people to ‘retreat. History will be on our side.’
