The Jubilee Party has disowned offices operating in Juja and Mugutha in Kiambu County, warning members and the public against conducting official party business through the premises.
In a statement on Monday, November 2, Jubilee Party Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta said the party had no officially recognised or authorised office in the two areas.
Ole Kenta clarified that the party’s gazetted National Headquarters is located at Daraja House along State House Road in Nairobi.
He added that Jubilee Party has more than 30 officially established branch offices across various counties, alongside several authorised sub-county offices across the country.
In Kiambu County, the party officially operates offices in Kiambu Town and Gatundu Town.
The Secretary General warned that the party would not take responsibility for activities or transactions conducted by individuals operating from the unauthorised premises in its name.
“Accordingly, the Party shall not be held responsible or liable for any activities, representations, undertakings, financial transactions, or commitments made by individuals operating from the said premises in the name of the Jubilee Party,” he said.
Ole Kenta further warned that any party member found operating or presenting the premises as official Jubilee Party offices without proper authorisation would face disciplinary action.
He said the action would be taken in accordance with the party’s Constitution and applicable laws.
The Secretary General added that if the individuals operating the premises were not Jubilee Party members, the party would pursue appropriate legal and administrative measures to protect its name, identity, reputation and institutional interests.
“The Party therefore urges its members, supporters and the general public to exercise caution and to transact official party business only through duly established and authorised Party offices and recognised officials,” he said.
Ole Kenta urged anyone receiving communication or encountering activities and commitments purportedly originating from the unauthorised offices to verify their authenticity with the party’s National Secretariat.
