Wiper Party leader and NASA co-principal, Kalonzo Musyoka has rubbished claims of his supposed swearing in on February 28 at Uhuru Park as the People’s Deputy President.

“We are conducting a serious audit on what is happening in the country and are consulting with Nasa. We are focusing on the fight,” he said.

Earlier reports indicated that the former Vice President was going to take the ‘oath’ amid criticism from opposition supporters who had since labelled him a betrayer.

He (Kalonzo), Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula are said to have abandoned former Premier during the January 30 swearing in ceremony.

The trio, ODM supporters say, were in bed with the ruling regime hence their missing on the historic day.

Wiper’s Deputy party, Farah Maalim while speaking to KTN News on Sunday mentioned that Kalonzo, Musalia and Wetangula had 2022 in mind and were not willing to participate in an ‘illegal’ oath taking ceremony.

He intimated that the three were against the swearing in but Odinga insisted on seeing it through.

“I don’t see Kalonzo being sworn in… It is a pity… I would have loved if he (Kalonzo) had taken a firm position from the word go and said, ‘sorry I am a lawyer I don’t want to do this,'” Maalim said.

The three, he said, could be looking to woo the vote rich Mt Kenya region as they prepare for what will be an action packed race to state house in 2022.
