The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary traffic disruption on a section of Mombasa Road from the night of Saturday, May 3, 2025, to the morning of Sunday, May 4, 2025.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, KeNHA Director General Kungu Ndung’u said the traffic interruption will occur near the Katani Road Junction on the Nairobi-bound lanes to allow for the installation of the final fabricated footbridge beam.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Katani Road Junction will experience traffic disruption along the Nairobi-bound lanes from Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10pm to Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 6am,” the notice reads.
Motorists using the route during this period are urged to exercise caution and follow the guidance of traffic marshals and police officers who will be present at the site to direct traffic and ensure safety.
