    Kenya’s Athletes continue to fly the country’s flag high despite political tension. Budding Athlete Lawrence Cherono  easily surpassed the Amsterdam Marathon record clocking 2:05.09 hours.

    he led fellow Kenyans to scoop first position in what was clearly a Kenyan affair.He shed off 12 seconds of the previous record that was last year st by compatriot Daniel Wanjiru. Nobert Kigen and Abraham Kiptum were first and second runners up respectively.

    In the women category Kenya’s Gladys Chesir emerged second after Tadelech Bekele of Ethiopia.
