Nairobi Governor has ordered that City Primary School in Nairobi be named Chandaria City Primary School after the billionaire businessman donated Ksh 12.5million for the renovation of the school. The communication was delivered to the school through the County Executive in charge of Education.

Now parents and teachers in the school are raising questions to the manner the Governor wants the school name changed as the school has neither received the money nor seen any renovation done from the fund. The money was apparently channeled through City Hall.

The school which is located in Ngara along Murang’a road is one of the oldest Primary Schools in the city.
