Kisumu MCAs Exchange Blows After Disagreeing On Impeachment Motion (Video)

There was trouble at the Kisumu county assembly that led two members of the county assembly to engage in a fist fight.

The tension was caused after two motions were tabled to suspend the finance and the planning CECs.  Some of the MCAs opposed the motions which were supported by a majority of the MCAs.

One of those opposing the motion was Manyatta B ward representative Pamela Adhiambo who claimed that there was a rumor that the MCAs were planning to impeach governor Anyang Nyong’o.

Another MCA Seth Kanga said that the motion were a plot to bring down the administration of Kisumu county under the governor’s leadership.

The debate led to a a number of MCA’s walking out.  A verbal exchange ensued outside the chambers that culminated in an exchange of blows by Kondele ward MCA Joachim Oketch and his Migosi counterpart.

Efforts to separate the two leaders proved futile as the two leaders were determined to fight each other.
