The Jubilee party on Saturday morning endorsed Edith Nyenze’s candidature for Kitui West MP after she floored her rival and Wiper party’s personal friend, Maluki Mwendwa.
But what Kenyans do not know is that Kitui county, should Ms Nyenze bag the MP seat come March 26, will become a family affair.
In Senate, is her blood brother, Enoch Kiio Wambua who worked for the Standard Media Group before being given a ‘political pass’ by the late Francis Nyenze.
Sources intimated to Kahawa Tungu that the former Standard editor at some point in his life lived with the Nyenze’s after which the deceased mentored him and passed him off as the man best placed to take up the senatorial post.

”I have diligently served my country at the very top of mainstream media for the last 16 years. In the course of my service, I have established a strong network of individual and corporate development partners at the county, national and global spheres. The time is ripe for me to tap into this network to serve my county and country as Senator of Kitui,” Wambua said on December 7 at KICC as he launched his political career.
NASA and Jubilee have been auctioning leadership positions and have turned counties into family businesses.
Take for example, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho is said to have appointed his brother, Mohammed Amir as the head of county inspectorate, which deals with the enforcement of county by-laws.
The Sultan at some point nominated hi house maid as an ward representative in the Mombasa county assembly.
