One of Africa’s biggest club rivalries Kariakor Derby also known as Dar Derby is taking place today at Uhuru Stadium, Dar Es Salaam – Tanzania.

Eternal rivals Yanga SC and Simba SC will lock horns for the 102nd time with so much at stake.

Apart from the three league points on offer, both sets of fans will be hoping to bag the most important prize in any derby, the bragging rights, by emerging winners!

Record Tanzanian champions Yanga, also known as Yanga Wakimataifa, have had the better of Simba, nicknamed Wekundu wa Msimbazi, in this tie.

In the 101 past meets, Yanga have emerged winners 36 times compared to Simba’s 27 victories.

The last fixture between the two sides ended in a draw in September last year.

To tilt the scale their way this time round, two lovely ladies have “jitolea kuwa mboga” if Simba wins this evening.

Such offers or bets are not new when it comes to the Kariakor Derby. Last year, one man offered his wife to a friend for a week if Yanga won, every detail was put down in writing.
