A 22-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a love triangle saga in Kamulu area, Nairobi County.

The deceased was identified as Joab Tunguta. He was stabbed and killed on Friday morning in an argument with a group of friends over what they termed as a woman.

Police said they are investigating the claims, and no arrest has been made.

The group was earlier seen arguing in the Twin Bird area before the man was stabbed in the chest. The group included women, witnesses said. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

Elsewhere in Kawangware, Nairobi, one Elvis Adogo was atabbed in an argument over groundnuts.

Witnesses told police said the man was stabbed after he refused to give groundnuts he had to an assailant. This prompted a fight that turned fatal, police said.

He was stabbed in the chest and rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said they were looking for the assailant for grilling and other procedures.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In Watamu, Kilifi County, a suspect was arrested after a man who had been assaulted on October 16, 2025 died in hospital. Police said Rashid Fodo died in hospital on November 12 following the assault. This prompted the arrest of the suspect who will now face murder charges.

Murder cases have been on the rise in separate incidents amid efforts to solve them, police say. Police say up to eight murder incidents are reported daily in a worrying trend. Some of the cases have so far been solved while others remain unsolved, police say.

Most of the cases are linked to love triangles and land.
