Fake doctor James Mugo Ndichu alias Mugo Wa Wairimu has been detained to allow police to investigate his illegal clinics in Nairobi’s Kayole estate.
He was apprehended by Flying Squad officers and was taken to Pangani Police station.
His illegal operations were highlighted in an expose aired on NTV last week, The expose showed that he came back “stronger, candid, daring and fearless.”
He was in Kayole with two clinics under the name “Millan Health Care.”
This is where he carried out illegal abortions with the help of unlicensed personnel. He has been on the run since then.
Two of his employees were remanded after it was found that just like their boss, they too were operating without valid licenses.
His Lawyer Cliff Ombetta has abandoned the quack doctor Mugo wa Wairimu over fears of being castigated by women.
The lawyer told journalists that he has reconsidered his decision because he is also a father with daughters and would not wish to be involved in Mugo wa Wairimu’s case.
“Being a man also with a daughter, I can say that I do not want to continue with the matter any more,” he stated.

He will remain in custody for ten days.
