NASA co-principal and Amani National congress leader, Musalia Mudavadi on Tuesday asked the IEBC to hire foreign  IT experts.

Musalia said the commission should get foreign experts to oversee the KIEMS citing Kenyans’ loss of trust in whoever takes the late Chris Msando’s place.

“To restore the shaken confidence in electronic systems, IEBC should immediately secure the services of an internationally recognised expert to oversee the KIEMS,” he said.

“With the reported intimidation of IEBC officials, Kenyans will not believe whoever takes the late Msando’s place will perform the job with the integrity that Msando brought.”

The Amani National congress leader urged the government to speedily accept the offers of assistance from the Scotland Yard as well as the FBI  to investigate Msando’s  gruesome murder.

He expressed his disappointment in President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy president William Ruto’s silence on the heinous crime.

Musalia further stated that unless drastic security measures were taken, Kenyans would not be confident in the credibility of the polls that are six days away.
