A scuffle ensued in Mombasa where the Nairobi MCAs are attending a committee meeting.
David Mberia of Karen ward claimed that he was attacked by Wilfred Odalo who chairs the public accounts committee (PAC) attacked over a Facebook post where he alluded that ODM party leader had appointed him to chair the PAC.
Mberia said that Odalo broke his nose during the attack.
Wilfred Odalo confirmed the scuffle to The Star saying that there was a small confrontation between the two. He said that Mberia conduct was out of order and that his posts were causing disharmony in the committee. He said that his utterances should not be taken lightly.
“By posting on Facebook that he was the chairman of this committee is a gross conduct. That cannot be taken lightly. You cannot wake up one day and say you are the chairman,” he said.
Mberia through a post had claimed that the party leader Raila odinga had instructed Nairobi ODM Chairman George Aladwa and the Nairobi county assembly to select him to chair the committee
