Companies that received payments amounting to Sh9 Billion from the National Youth Service reportedly return a ‘no result’ at the official register which means that they are NYS “ghost companies”.
“When a search of a company at the official register done manually returns a “no result”, it means as far as the companies’ registry is concerned, those companies do not exist,” an official at the registrar’s office told the one of the dailies.
Companies like Ameratrade Enterprises, Ngiwako Enterprises, and Ersatz Enterprises received huge chunks of money but are non-existent. The entities appear a registered business names but not as companies, so it is baffling how non-company entities won tenders from the National Youth Service.
Investigators have realized that the “companies” were created using a valid contract number and Local Purchase Orders made to facilitate corruption by acting as if they had supplied goods to the organization.

The whole scandal is causing genuine business people to suffer as their payments has yet to me made yet fake companies were taking big monies out of the organization for the sake of it.
