Homa Bay town MP, Peter Kaluma has been exposed by his estranged wife, Martha Akinyi as a ‘dead beat’ father and a ‘skirt-chaser.’
According to Ms Akinyi, the legislator was married to her in 2002 but cheated on her with a magistrate, Meresia Adundo bringing to an end the marriage.
It is after the separation that he (Kaluma) forcefully took with him their son, Patrice Kaluma, 13, then 2 and a half years.
The ODM MP left behind his second born, Harriet Kaluma who up to date refuses to provide for.
Ms Akinyi says that the MP denied her access to her son despite a court order asking him to hand the boy back to his mother.
“I have never seen my son since he was 2 and a half years old. As we speak, I don’t know if my son is alive or dead,” she told Kahawa Tungu.
Kaluma colluded with court officers, who almost managed to steal the case file from the registry, she says, adding that the officers had court dates moved.
In February 2017, the children’s court ordered the MP to pay Sh900,000 in child support but is yet to pay up. A warrant of arrest was then issued against him, but has proved ‘untouchable.’
His daughter, she says is out of school as the father refuses to pay school fees.
“Justice delayed is justice denied,” she cries.

Ms Akinyi has been seeking justice for 10 years now. She first filed a case against him in 2008 (Civil Case no 37 of 2008) and the case adjudged in October 2016.
Kaluma was back in 2014 blasted on Facebook, on a page known as “Dead Beat” where women exposed men who impregnated them, only to walk away later.
He made history by being the first lawmaker to appear on the page.
