    Jubilee party top echelon are meeting to find ways of resolving the nomination issues in Nairobi. One of the issues which is giving the officials of the President’s party sleepless night is reconciling their motto or rallying call to what actually happened in some areas.

    One such area is the Embakasi East constituency where Kikuyus clinched all Jubilee nominations for MCA and MP seats. That has not reflected well with Jubilee’s Tuko Pamoja slogan.

    In a quickly convened meeting, it is whispered that the President and his deputy have now demanded that the candidates agree on the best way to have Jubilee win the seats without having a divided people.

    The nominated candidates in the Jubilee ticket are as follows;

    MP nomination ;

    1. Francis Wambugu Mureithi – 6,685 WINNER
    2. Stephen Waruinge Maina – 3,895
    3. Henry Kamau Njenga – 703
    4. Benard Momanyi Abuya – 424
    5. Amos Masenge – 289

    Now the winning candidate, Francis Mureithi, has offered to forego his ambitions and support either Amos Masenge or Benard Momanyi.

    The two candidates have however failed to agree on who among them can carry the flag of the party in the constituency.

    MCA Nominations Winners:

    • Utawala – Patrick Karani
    • Mihango – Paul Kados
    • Embakasi – Joe Mutugi
    • Lower Savannah – Duncan Chege
    • Upper Savannah – Charles Karingahi

    All the MCA’s nominated are Kikuyus, bringing a further problem in Jubilee. The President has now asked the candidates in Utawala, Embakasi and Upper Savannah to forego their quest and let the party properly balance the posts. It has been proposed that Utawala be given to a Kisii, Embakasi to a Kamba or Luhya and Upper Savannah to a Luo or a Luhya.
