ODM leader Raila Odinga Wednesday sent a message of condolence to Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi following the death of her son in Nairobi.

Elvis Murakana Namenya died at a city hospital after a road accident along Mbagathi Way.

    Raila termed the death painful.

“I know you are heartbroken and I know your world has turned inside out following the death of your son, Elvis Murakana Namenya. We don’t, indeed we can’t carry the weight you carry in your heart and body right now. Even though we feel your pain, we can’t feel it in the exact way you do. But be assured you are not alone.”

“Be assured that we know the strength of the pain you are struggling with currently and we wish we could shoulder it for you.

Draw some strength from the assurance that we are with you in spirit, thought and prayer. We wish to see you heal and be your vibrant self again. I believe your son would wish you that,” he said in the message.

He assured Elachi she shall overcome.

“Indeed you must overcome. You owe Elvis that. And we will walk with you the journey until you overcome and recover fully.”

The son was in a car which was involved in an accident leading to his death.
