The National Super Alliance (NASA) has maintained that it does not recognize the Jubilee regime even after the Supreme Court upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta’s October 26 election.

The Chief Justice David Maraga while delivering the ruling said the three petitions lacked merit.

Through Raila Odinga’s adviser, Salim Lone, the opposition has said that despite the ruling, Kenyatta’s government remains ‘illegitimate.’

”We in NASA had repeatedly declared before this Supreme Court ruling today (Monday) that we consider this government to be illegitimate and do not recognize it,” Lone said in a statement.

The opposition further claimed that the ruling was made under duress unlike the September 1 verdict that nullified the August 8 presidential election.

”It was a decision taken under duress. We do not condemn the court, we sympathize with it.”

The communication director ODM party, Philip Etale has asked the opposition supporters to calmly await the People’s Assembly that has so far been adopted by 9 counties.

”Therefore NASA supporters should wait for the PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY which is in the KITCHEN and the SUMMIT will be at the end of the week.” he tweeted.

President Kenyatta will following the ruling be sworn in for a second term in office on November, 28.

The opposition has also vowed to swear in the former Prime Minister Odinga because he allegedly won the August 8 election but was rigged out by the current regime with the help of the IEBC.
