President William Ruto, together with his Cabinet Secretaries, has announced a fresh round of appointments and reappointments to various state and county agencies. The changes were published in the Kenya Gazette on February 13, 2026.

Ugas Mohamed has been reappointed as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), with his new three-year term starting February 24, 2026. Similarly, Sally Njambi Mahihu will continue as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Investment Authority (KIA) board for another three years, effective February 13.

The Cabinet Secretaries also retained experienced board members to ensure continuity and preserve institutional knowledge. Five CMA board members — Natasha Awuro Aduwo, Elena Natalia Pellegrini, Meshack Moses Kiprono, Gibson Kimani Maina, and Professor Michael Bowen — will serve another three-year term.

In the Sacco sector, Jack Rangura will continue as Member and Non-Executive Chairperson of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) board until February 2029.

The agricultural sector received attention with Genesio Mugo reappointed as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Dairy Board for three years. Seven board members — Abraham Kiplel Rugut, Mercy Karimi Mbogo, Mike Koross, Fatuma Abdi Haji, Josephine Moraa Omanwa, Beth Wangare Mbuthia, and Kenneth Pkomoi Lomaibong — were also reappointed.

Zippie Metto will continue serving on the Tourism Fund Board for another three years, supporting the development of Kenya’s tourism sector and sustainable funding for hospitality initiatives.

President Ruto also introduced new appointments to key boards. Rebecca Ghati Maroa has been named Member and Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), while Makarios Munanga Makwata joins the Kenya Dairy Board as a new member for a three-year term. Professor Mary Akinyi Otieko will serve as Member and Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya School of Law (KSL) board for four years, overseeing legal education standards nationwide.
