The Social Health Authority (SHA) Board has appointed Terry Chelangat Rotich as the Authority’s Corporation Secretary and Head of Legal Services.

In a statement, SHA Board Chairperson Dr Abdi Mohamed said the appointment followed a competitive and transparent recruitment process that commenced on July 29, 2025.

Dr Mohamed said the Board is confident that Rotich will provide the legal and governance leadership required to support the Authority’s mandate.

“The appointment follows a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on July 29, 2025,” the statement said.

The Board also thanked SHA staff for their professionalism and dedication during the transition period.

“The Board takes this opportunity to express its deep appreciation to the dedicated staff for their unwavering support and commitment throughout this transition period,” Dr Mohamed said.

Rotich takes over the role as the Authority continues to strengthen its governance and legal framework in the implementation of Kenya’s health financing reforms.
