    Verena Altenberger is an acclaimed Austrian actress born on November 11, 1987, in Schwarzach im Pongau, Salzburg, Austria.

    That same year, she won the Diagonale Best Actress award and the Best Actress honor at the Internationales Filmfestival Moskau, followed by the Silver St. George for Best Actress.

    In 2018, she was awarded the Austrian Film Award for Best Actress and nominated for the Romy in the category of Most Popular Actress in Cinema/TV-Film, while also receiving the Courage Film Festival Best Actress prize.

    Her television work earned recognition with the German Television Award in 2018 for the sitcom she starred in, along with multiple nominations for the German Comedy Award and the Rose d’Or.

    Further honors include Best Actress wins at the Meraki Film Awards in Spain and the MIFF Awards Milano International Film Festival in Italy in 2018, as well as the Best Leading Actress at the World Fest Houston.

    In subsequent years, she was nominated for the Jupiter Award and Deutscher Schauspielpreis in 2022, and received the Romy in 2021.
