    Early Life

Von Miller was born Vonnie B’VSean Miller on March 26, 1989, in DeSoto, Texas. He is the son of Von Sr. and Gloria Miller and has a younger brother named Vinsynzie. As a teenager, Miller attended DeSoto High School, where he starred in football and also competed in track and field.

During his senior season, Miller recorded 76 tackles and six sacks, earning District 8-5A Defensive MVP honors and establishing himself as one of the state’s top defensive prospects.

    College Career at Texas A&M

Miller committed to Texas A&M University, where he played for the Aggies from 2007 to 2010. After transitioning from defensive end to linebacker, he broke out nationally during his junior season, leading the country with 17 sacks and earning First-Team All-American recognition.

In his senior year, Miller added 10.5 sacks, earned another First-Team All-American selection, and won the Butkus Award, given to the nation’s top linebacker. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in poultry science.

    Denver Broncos (2011–2021)

Von Miller was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He made an immediate impact, earning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and his first Pro Bowl selection.

Miller continued to dominate in subsequent seasons, earning multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. Despite setbacks that included a suspension in 2013 and a torn ACL later that year, he returned to elite form in 2014 and 2015.

The defining moment of his career came in Super Bowl 50, where Miller led a dominant Broncos defense against the Carolina Panthers. He recorded multiple sacks, forced turnovers, and was named Super Bowl MVP as Denver captured the championship.

In 2016, Miller signed a six-year, $114.5 million contract, one of the largest defensive contracts in NFL history at the time. He remained a cornerstone of the Broncos defense until injuries limited his availability in later seasons. Miller finished his Broncos career as the franchise’s all-time sack leader with 110.5 sacks.
