Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi’s car bazaar located opposite the Nyayo National Stadium was on Friday morning demolished.
On site are police officers and the very popular Sany.
It is not yet clear why the building was brought down but Kahawa Tungu understands that it is located near the Aerodrome road and the railway line.
The exercise has caused a major traffic snarl up along Lang’ata Road.

The county government has vowed to continue taking down structures sitting in riparian and public land. This continued well into December last year when the national government put on hold demolition of buildings.
In a statement, Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua on December 20, 2018 said ” further guidance will be issued following consultations with all relevant state agencies and stakeholders” before the exercise can resume.
Finally the illegal structure at Nyayo Stadium have come down. @FredMatiangi @ODPP_KE @EACCKenya you need to prosecute the people who grab public spaces. @MikeSonko you need to fire the county officials who gave approvals for the structures to be built. https://t.co/I8g5LjAmPt
