A 40-year-old woman was found dead after she had been assaulted by her husband in a domestic fight in Dandora, Nairobi,

The body of Judy Wambui Maina was found lying on the floor on Sunday October 13, 2025 long after her murder.

Her husband, who is a suspect in the murder was missing.

Neighbours said they had heard commotion from the couple’s house before they went to check what was the source.

It was then they found the body of the woman lying on the floor with a visible injury on the head.

The police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

The assailant was on Monday on the run and police said efforts were being made to get him for questioning.

Cases of murder affecting women have been on the rise amid a campaign to address the menace. A team was formed earlier this year formed to probe the cases targeting women and has handed over its preliminary report which is yet to be made public so far.

Elsewhere in Kendubay, Homa Bay County, police said they were investigating a drowning incident.

The incident happened Friday October 10, 2025 at Kasiege beach and affected a fisherman identified as Byron Ochieng, 22.

The deceased had left home on Friday for fishing at Lake Victoria but failed to return.

This prompted a search for him by other fishermen in the area until two days later when the body was found floating on the shores of the beach.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

And in Malindi, Kilifi County, an Italian national was killed in an accident involving two motorcycles. The accident happened on Sunday October 12, 2025 along Uhuru Road and left one Volpe Armnando dead.

The two motorcycles collided leaving the Italian with serious head injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead while being attended to, police said.

The other rider escaped the scene and efforts to trace him were underway.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
