Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on her bed in Nyaramba, Nyamira County.
The police said the body of Lilian Mokeira Ombaso, 36 was found in her house long after she had died on December 10, 2025. The cause of the death was not immediately established.
The body was discovered by the woman’s husband who told police had left her at home in good health hours earlier.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Elsewhere in Mbaruk area, Gilgil, Nakuru County, the body of a man was found drowned in a well that has been in use.
The discovery was made in Marura village on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The deceased was identified as Boniface Mutinda, 22. The deceased was trying to retrieve a goat that had drowned in the water pan when he also slipped therein and died.
The man was taking care of goats when one of them slipped into the well and drowned.
Police said the carcass of the goat and the body of the man were retrieved from the water hours later.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures.
Elsewhere in the Sunton area, Kasarani, Nairobi, police are investigating an incident where a man was found dead with a deep cut on his head. The man was found dead near a stream in the Mrafi stream long after his murder, police said.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending investigations, identification and autopsy.
No arrest had been made by Thursday December 11, police said.
Police said they are investigating possible murder in the case. Murder cases have been on the rise in the past months amid efforts to address the trend. Some of of the cases are pending in courts while others are pending unsolved.
