Three people were separately found dead in a worrying trend in the country, police said.

The police say they receive up to four such sudden death cases daily.

The first incident was reported in Kiambaa, Kiambu County where the body of a woman was found in a house on February 11.

The body of Miriam Kalekye Kyalo, 29 was found on the floor with her legs on top of the bed.

She had some bloodstains on her mouth but had no physical injury on her body.

The body was taken to the Kihara Level Four Hospital morgue for preservation, awaiting postmortem examination.

In Nanyuki’s Nturukuma sub-location, the body of James Mwiti Mwongera was found lying on the sofa set in his sitting room.

The cause of the death is yet to be established, police said.

The body, which had no visible injuries, was removed to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation awaiting autopsy.

In Kitengela, Kajiado County, the body of a man was found in an open field.

The deceased was dressed in a checked blue shirt, a blue jeans trouser, and a pink Omo sachet was recovered from his pocket with blood oozing from the mouth.

No visible injuries were seen and the body was removed to the Kitengela Sub-County Hospital morgue awaiting identification and autopsy.

Meanwhile, two people died by suicide separately.

The first incident was reported in Karatu, Gatundu South, Kiambu County where the body of John Kingori, 34 was found.

The man had entered the house of a woman in Ituramiro area as she washed clothes and hanged himself.

The body was found dangling from the rooftop trass, having hanged himself using a black wire.

No suicide note was recovered and the motive is yet to be established. The body with no visible physical injuries was moved to Gatundu Level Four Hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.

In Kithimu, Embu County, a man died by suicide after he hanged himself on a tree.

Police said they found the lifeless body of Kevin Mugambi, 23 hanging on a tree.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

Cases of suicide have been on the rise amid calls for action to stop the trend.
